I have the plate CL10 JUE which i could sell if the right offer came along. Ideal if you have a Clio or your name is Julie or both in an ideal world. It is currently on retention and I am the nominee for this plate and have the certificate to say so. The purchaser is happy to change the name of the nominee if i sell the plate.

what sort of money are you hoping to achieve? I'd suggest £150-£200 at best..

If my name was Julie, and I had a Clio, I'd much rather have CL10 JUL which is for sale through DVLA includuing VAT and all fees for £405.

I know a few people called Julie and they all get called Jue for short hence why this would work. I havnt seen any plates with Jul on only Jue from the people i know. I wont be selling for that price.

oh good, another one in pure denial as to the value/demand for their plate. No doubt it will get you a long way in getting shot of it. Out of interest, what do you think it's worth?

If I ever saw a JUL plate, and the driver was male, I'd assume it was Julian. If it were female, I'd assume she was Julie/Julia. If I saw JUE, I'd assume it is their initials. And from the 3 Julies I've ever know, none have been called or referred to as Jue before - or if they have, only in conversation, not on paper or enough to put on their car.

I think you'd be better finding people with those initials myself.

Thanks for your really helpful advice. Im not trying to get rid of it particularly hence why i said it might be for sale if the right offer came along as im happy to keep it on retention until the misses decides to buy a newer car. Thanks Joe thats what i was thinking ,I think i have two options with this plate, if and when i sell it.
