what would R8 KCX mean to them - surely they would want their name, initials - this looks like a registration that means something only to the person who owns it - it would never ever ever be recognised as RBKC X and even it does register who would want to own it

it sounds like only just purchased so be wise and get it cancelled whilst you can (ten days from date of purchase)

You do realise that some people have more than one vehicle and therefore more than one plate? Sure, the first thing people may want is their name/initials etc. but beyond that people do also like "novelty" plates.

This registration will appeal to anyone who is proud to live/work in the Royal Borough ... great way to show your love for the place!

The mayor's car has R111 BKC (or is it R11 BKC) - so clearly there is enough knowledge and appreciation for this abbreviation.

Even a PHer (AOK) thought it was the mayor's registration!

I will, of course, NOT be cancelling this. It's a cracker!
